In
2001, the Kinosian family started Ghana’s first school since
its 1957 independence, located deep inside bush country. In Oframse,
Ghana, West Africa, Mission Africa – Kinosian Nursery teaches
35 children ages 5-8, with 125 more on standby who travel up to 7
miles daily with chairs on their backs to see
if they can attend that day (no phones!) We’re still building
and relish any help.

In Africa, over 100 million children are without education. MA-KN’s goal
is to educate all 600 to 700 children in the bush outside Accra from nursery
to high school. It's not quite the Orpah Academy, but still a great gift to
their community. Moms in their colorful garb, as well as the tribal chiefs
and queens, stand all
day in the back to learn along with the children.
